Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Apollo Pest Control's service, scheduling, treatments and pricing.

Where does Apollo Pest Control provide service?

Apollo Pest Control serves Sidney, North Saanich, Central Saanich, the Saanich Peninsula, Brentwood Bay, Saanichton, Saanich and Victoria, BC. See the Service Areas page for the full list. If you're near our service area but not on the main list, get in touch — we can often help.

How quickly can you come out?

For urgent issues like an active wasp nest or sudden rodent activity, same-day service may be available. For other treatments we can usually schedule within a few business days. Get in touch through the Contact page and we'll give you a realistic time.

Are your treatments safe for pets and children?

We use targeted products and follow label instructions strictly. We'll explain any specific re-entry or re-occupancy guidance for the treatment we recommend. If you have specific concerns — fish tanks, reptile enclosures, infants, household members with chemical sensitivities — tell us before the visit and we'll adapt the plan.

Do you offer eco-friendly options?

Yes. Our eco-friendly approach uses targeted, lower-impact products where suitable, mechanical solutions where they will work (trapping, exclusion, sealing), and skips treatments that aren't necessary.

Do you treat carpenter ants?

Yes. Carpenter ants are common in our region, especially in homes with any history of moisture damage. We inspect for nest locations and treat with products designed to reach the colony, not just the visible workers. See Carpenter Ant Control.

Do you remove wasp nests safely?

Yes. Our wasp nest treatments are designed to reach the inside of the nest where the queen and workers are active. Once treated, activity typically drops quickly and the nest can usually be removed.

Do you treat bees?

No. Honeybees and bumblebees are important pollinators and are typically handled by a beekeeper for relocation. If you're not sure what species you're dealing with, we can help you identify it before you call anyone.

Do you treat bed bugs?

Yes. Bed bug treatment involves a careful inspection, a prepared treatment, and follow-up visits to ensure success. We'll send a written prep list before the visit so the treatment is as effective as possible.

Do you work with small landlords?

Yes. We work with owners of duplexes, suites and small rental properties on inspection, treatment and written service documentation that you can keep on file or share with your insurer. See Small Landlord Pest Control.

Do you work with restaurants and cafés?

Yes. We provide restaurant and café pest control scheduled around your hours, with written service records useful for health-inspection visits.

Is Apollo Pest Control licensed and insured?

Yes. Apollo Pest Control is a fully licensed and insured pest control company based in Sidney, BC.

Do I need to leave the home during treatment?

It depends on the treatment. Most targeted exterior or void treatments don't require leaving the home. Some interior treatments require staying out of the treated room until products have dried. We'll tell you exactly what to expect before the visit.

Do you offer monthly or quarterly plans?

Yes, for situations where ongoing monitoring is genuinely useful — restaurants, multi-unit buildings, properties with recurring pressure. We don't push recurring contracts where they don't fit. Most residential clients are best served by one-time or as-needed service.

How is pricing handled?

Pricing is explained before any treatment begins. For most service calls we can give you a price range over the phone based on the pest and the property; the final price is confirmed once we've inspected. There are no surprise add-ons after the fact.

What's the difference between rats and mice?

Rats are larger, more cautious, often nest outdoors, and need a gap of about half an inch to enter. Mice are smaller, more curious, often nest indoors, and need a gap about the size of a dime. The control approach is different for each. See Rat Control and Mouse Control.

Will one treatment solve the problem?

Often yes — wasp nests, isolated ant trails, and some rodent situations can be resolved in a single visit. Bed bugs, established cockroach populations, and larger rodent infestations usually require a follow-up. We'll tell you upfront which category your situation is in.

Do you treat fleas, silverfish, spiders or earwigs?

We focus on the structural and household pests listed on our services pages. For other pests, get in touch and we'll let you know whether we can help or recommend someone who can.
